The bladder wrack is a large, brown algae, common on the middle rocky shores. The growth rate of bladder wrack varies both geographically and seasonally. Its growth highly depends on exposure to warm temperature and also light, that is the reason for its existence near the shore. During summer months the fronds are longer, while during winter the bladder wrack is in dwarf form.
