A terrestrial environment refers to an ecosystem consisting of organisms and interactions of both abiotic and biotic components. Terrestrial environments are determined by different factors such as type of soil, amount of sunlight, rainfall and temperature range. Deserts, tropical rain-forests, grasslands, deciduous forests, tundra and taiga are examples of the terrestrial environment.
