After Many Trials under identical conditions the CSIRO scientists have discovered a number of common characteristics among the various lobster species that are reared for commercial use:
1. They have a maximum life span of 2 years, but only 10% reach this age.
2. They generally reach their adult maturity and maximum weight of 3.0kg (which is usually maintained until they die) after approximately 1 3/4 years.
The CIRO scientists discovered that, while their mathematical models for the number of lobsters at any time and the mean weight of a lobster at any time predict with reasonable accuracy the really situation, models have their limitations.
By making reference to the mathematical models for N(t) and W(t), their corresponding graphs or both, investigate and comment on any limitations, weaknesses that each model appears to have.
Also for each model suggest a change that could be made to overcome any observed limitations
