After Many Trials under identical conditions the CSIRO scientists have discovered a number of common characteristics among the various lobster species that are reared for commercial use:
1. They have a maximum life span of 2 years, but only 10% reach this age.
2. They generally reach their adult maturity and maximum weight of 3.0kg (which is usually maintained until they die) after approximately 1 3/4 years.
The CIRO scientists discovered that, while their mathematical models for the number of lobsters at any time and the mean weight of a lobster at any time predict with reasonable accuracy the really situation, models have their limitations.
By making reference to the mathematical models for N(t) and W(t), their corresponding graphs or both, investigate and comment on any limitations, weaknesses that each model appears to have.
Also for each model suggest a change that could be made to overcome any observed limitations
If you were to use this method after you had observed the fate of an ice cube at 25°C, what would you conclude about the spontaneity of the following process? Why?
The standard enthalpy change for this process is 6.01 kJ/mol. What is the minimum value for the standard entropy change, on the basis of your conclusions about the spontaneity?
5) Suppose that δ = 0. Using the equations in (e), show that the consumer makes all planned durable purchases in one lump sum in the first period, and absent shocks, makes no further purchases thereafter.

6)Discuss the implication of (f) on the property of durable stock and durable expenditure in a linear-quadratic variant of this same simple case where income is stochastic. (Hint: You may want to look at the exercise 8.12 in Romer (4th edition).)
