An increasing volume of cell and adding more maltose molecules can slow down this reaction. Adding more maltose can slow down this reaction because when we add more maltose the level of enzyme is decreased and reaction cannot flow quickly. If the volume of cell increases it cannot produce enzyme for this reaction and therefore, reaction slows down.
