Plants obtain their requirements for photosynthesis by absorbing carbon dioxide and light energy of the sun. The structures that absorb light energy from the sun are known as chlorophylls. Also for photosynthesis plants need water. & Water is transported to the leaves through xylem cells present in the stem or through stomata in case of land plants.Carbon dioxide also enters the leaf through the stoma present on the leaf.
