A calibration mass is made of an unknown metal. A student wished to find the density of the metal as a means of identifying it. To accomplish this task, the mass was taken using an analytical balance. The weighing boat had a mass of 1.5487 +/- 0.0002 grams. The mass of the metal and the weighing boat was 97.6253 +/- 0.0002 grams. Next, the volume was measured by displacement. A graduated cylinder was used to measure the water placed into a container in order to fill it to the top. The container held 94.56 +/-0.03 mL). The metal was dropped into the container, and the displaced water was allowed to escape. Afterwards, the same graduated cylinder was used to measure the remaining water. 48.56 +/-0.03 mL of water were still in the container. Find the density of the metal.
