Hi, I have a chemistry assignment, where I am testing the rate of electrolysis with copper(anode) and steel(cathode) electrodes, and my research question is: "How does varying the concentration of the electrolyte (CuSO4) affect the mass of copper deposited at the anode from the cathode, within a 10 minute period, at a constant 10V?" So I tested 5 different concentrations (0.1 M, 0.2 M, 0.5 M, 1.0 M, 1.5 M) and the results I got for the first 4 concentrations seemed to increase in a somewhat linear trend (as expected). But for the 1.5M test, my results were lower than the results I got for 1.0 M test. I asked my teacher about it, but all she could tell me is 'do more research'. I've tried, but I haven't found anything that explains why this is so. Personally, I think it's an anomaly, but I'm not sure, no one in my class did this experiment, so I can't compare my data.
