Class rather than race or ethnicity provides the best explanation for the system of social stratification in modern Caribbean because; society is divided according to those who have more power, best jobs and more money. In the Caribbean, society divides people into separate classes according to their access to power and resources because these factors determine the kind of life you will have for the rest of your life.
