South Africa’s population is about sixty million people of diverse origins, religions, and languages. In 2020, about 28.8 percent of the total population were 0-14 years of age, about 65 percent of 15-64 years of age, and about 5 percent of 65 years and above. There is a low dependency ratio in South Africa as many people are the working class. There is a low Birth rate, a high death rate, and a low life expectancy.
