According to C. Wright Mill's essay, "The Promise of Sociology", having troubles is a personal problem where issues are social problems that affect us personally. He says, "A trouble is a private matter: Values cherished by an individual are felt by him to be threatened. Personal trouble refer to a problem affecting individuals that the affected individual, as well as other members of society, typically blame on the individual's own personal and moral failings. Examples include such different problems as eating disorders, divorce, and unemployment.
Poverty is the condition of a person when he cannot fulfill his basic necessities of life such as food, clothing, and shelter. We can define poverty as the condition where the basic needs of a family, like food, shelter, clothing, and education are not fulfilled. It can lead to other problems like poor literacy, unemployment, and malnutrition. Without a job or a livelihood, poverty can become an issue. Poverty entails more than the lack of income and productive resources to ensure sustainable livelihoods. Its manifestations include hunger and malnutrition, limited access to education and other basic services, social discrimination and exclusion as well as the lack of participation in decision-making and this can be an issue.
