Describe two examples of how society may shape what individuals do.
Some specific examples of how society may shape what individuals do are stereotypes, clothing, and religion.
Stereotypes is an idea or picture of a particular type of person or thing. They are still relevant in today’s society. Stereotypes shape us in many ways. If you have a stereotype, it affects who you associate yourself with, what kinds of foods you eat, how you dress, how people think of you, and even how you think of yourself. Stereotypes can bring people down. It can destroy self-esteem. Stereotypes can affect how you see a person, which affects how you treat them.
Clothing, is another thing that can shape us. Clothing is an important part of everyone's everyday routine. Everyone wears clothes. Clothing can shape society by how you dress, what brand you’re wearing, and your style of dress. It also affects the people you tend to hang out with. For example, in high school a certain group of kids might wear hoodies to school and they all are friends because they wear the same thing. It also allows you to express your individualism and show you personality.
