I agree with the presented statement since traditional African life, just like any other culture, marks them out uniquely from any other human society in the realm of humanity. Traditional African life believes in the notion of belonging to a common of people since it is only through the community where the life of a person acquires genuine meaning - an isolated life does not embody African values. Traditional African culture required an individual to mutually interact with other people in the community to instill hope in them and even help them attain their social ambitions in life. Belonging to a common of people helped to establish a sense of security and amity among community members. For example, in the Igbo community of Nigeria, just like other African societies, the palpable curtailment of an individual’s power to execute as he wills is offered by the powerful force of what is recognized as ‘the determination of the community.'
