Discuss group socialization and role differentiation.
Group socialization is the process of an individual's relationship with a group that begins when they contemplate joining and ends when they leave. The person learns to adapt to various group standards and act in a way that is acceptable to the other members of the group. Work differentiation and organization are based on the social-psychological concept of role differentiation in groups. The expectation of group members on appropriate behavior in a specific position is characterized as a role. Positive reinforcement is given to role-conformant behavior, whereas negative reinforcement is given to deviations.
