(i)  Mass media refers to a diverse array of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of passages. Broadcast media transfer information electronically via media such as films, radio, recorded music, or television.

(ii)  Media Perspectives is a collaboration-driven platform for media and innovation. It can also be defined as the art of drawing solid objects on a plane surface so as to give the same impression of relative position, size, or distance, as the actual objects do when viewed from a particular point.

(iii)  Media diversity refers to heterogeneity of the media. It is the state of having humans from unique backgrounds inside the media.

(iv) Media regulation refers to all means by which media organizations are formally reserved or fixed in their activities. It also refers to the process by which a range of specific, often legally binding, tools are applied to media systems and institutions to achieve established policy goals such as pluralism, diversity, competition, and freedom.

(v)  Control refers to the influence or authority over something and ownership is the state of having complete legal control of the status.

(vi) Virtual society is a social form where people do not have to live, meet, or work face to face in order to develop or maintain a significant relationship.

(vii) Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, many events, or information for the purpose of data collection, influencing, managing or directing. Surveillance can be used by governments to indefensibly disrupt people's privacy and is often assessed by civil liberties activists.

(viii) Digital divide is the gap that exists between individuals who have access to modern information and communication technology and those who lack access. These technologies include but are not limited to computers, laptops, tablets and internet access.
