Pluralism describes a society in which diversity is accepted and supported. Diversity describes the existence of many groups of people within a society, whereas pluralism describes a society in which diversity is accepted and supported. In a nutshell, the South African media landscape is marked by moderate plurality but not necessarily diversity, since many media organizations provide'more of the same' rather than true alternatives to the leading sources of information, news, and entertainment.


Pluralists are concerned with the equitable allocation of resources and power, which means that power is dispersed among various groups.This in South Africa is associated with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), trade unions, professional associations, and business lobbyists who share power, while South Africa's cultural diversity is expressed in a variety of ways; one of the most well-known is the different cultural influences that go into the food that people eat, such as maize meal porridge and meat, accompanied by a variety of vegetables such as cabba.
