What is a flexible research design
Flexible design is a type of design that allows for intermediate input, which can alter the outcome of a trial or experiment. Often employed in qualitative research, the study design places a significant emphasis on the researcher as data gatherer who is able to act throughout the data gathering phase. It's often used interchangeably with adaptive design. The sampling approach or the statistical methods employed for analysis may be amenable to change in a flexible design.
