Feminist post-structuralist viewpoint offers an alternative paradigm. It emphasizes diverse viewpoints and open interpretation, provides a platform for past and contemporary female voices, and deconstructs realist historical narrative. The feminist post-structuralist perspective was found to be beneficial as a theoretical foundation since it allowed us to develop questions from which we could evaluate gender representation in a school History text and then communicate findings about social connections in general. We defined feminist post-structuralism as "a method of knowledge creation that employs post-structuralist theories of language, subjectivity, social processes, and institutions to comprehend current power relations and propose areas and tactics for change.
