Discrimination in institutions of higher learning has been predominant in the past few years. Many students who are considered to come from a minority group are discriminated on the basis that they have no means, or they have no capital to lead life other students from well to do families lead.

Secondly, the students from humble backgrounds and more especially those who are considered to come from minority backgrounds are isolated by some students even when it comes to accommodation. They are discriminated to an extent that their accommodation rooms are isolated and labeled by their fellow students as no go zones.

Thirdly, discrimination has greatly impacted the learning of the minority students as they get distracted from concentrating on their studies.
