“Individual Support Plan” – A plan designed for learners who need additional support or expanded opportunities, developed by teachers in discussion with the parents and the School-based Support Team. Below is an individual support plan for a learner with a barrier in spelling and reading;

How to support
Spelling and reading problems among learners(dyslexia)
1. Getting to know them. This is because if we want all learners to progress to their next level, we need to get to know them. Only then can we provide learning opportunities that start where they are. Get to know their strengths, weaknesses and interests as well as their learning profile; where do they like to work, who do they work well with and what kinds of tasks engage them fully helps you in dealing with the barrier of spelling and reading that they have.
2. I would support these learners by providing multi-sensory tasks and activities. This is a common practice in most young learner classrooms and it allows learners to process information using their stronger senses but at the same time strengthen their weaker areas.
The objective of the plan is to ensure that by the end of support time schedule smith will be able to read and speak words properly.
