EXPLAIN HOW EUROCENTRICISM SHAPED THE WRITING OF THE WORLD HISTORY
Eurocentricism is generally defined as a cultural phenomenon that looks from a European or a Western perspective into the histories and cultures of non-Western societies. Europe, more particularly Western Europe or the West, acts as a universal signifier by assuming superiority over non-European societies over European cultural values. Latin America has been affected by Eurocentricism by colonial rule and growth. This happened by applying new criteria, which were designed to impose a new social classification of the global population. Eurocentricism tends to be at the forefront of social constructiveness, the significance of social groups' difference and, of course, the development of social inequality.
