In spite of society’s social control mechanisms, deviance still exists. Identify and explain forms of social control mechanisms and show how they function. Are these control mechanisms important or not? Explain why. (it is recommended that you use examples to support your points/arguments)

Social control is the way and means by which society administers conformity to its norms. The control is substantial to individuals in the society since it enables them to develop social qualities. However different social thinkers have categorized social control in different ways as follows;
1. Organized social control- In this category, the behavior of the individual is regulated either through voluntary means or through democratic ways and it is done through natural ways of social control.
2. Unorganized social control- this social is drilled by values of culture and usages, traditions, fashion, symbol
3. Spontaneous social control- This social control is kept fit by ideas, rules and regulations values and norms.
4. More spontaneous social control- it is exercised by direct social and group experience such as aspirations, decisions, desires among others
In general, the need of social control is of prime significance in the society because it brings in solidarity, conformity in the society and provide social sanction which are used to control behavior of the individuals.
