Why women sociologists written out of sociologys history and what is the importance of recognizing their contributions
Early female sociologists' life and views are rarely chronicled in textbooks, classrooms, or historical records of the field. A growing number of contemporary sociologists are rejecting this patriarchal legacy. These more egalitarian professionals, on the other hand, quickly discover that they have little resources in their sociological knowledge base to help them navigate this new venture.
Many prominent female sociologists have gone from American sociology's canonical history. Wikipedia promises – but does not always provide – a democratic correction to the development of knowledge, especially academic knowledge, as the most influential crowd-sourced encyclopedia.
It's important to recognise their contribution in sociology because women bring to businesses and teams a perspective that values collaboration as much as competition. Because feminine ideals are an integral part of a contemporary, social, and open economy's operating mechanism. Women's leadership has the potential to benefit not only society but also business.
