Ethnography is the study and exploration of a culture from the inside out. Ethnographers spend a lot of time in the setting or society they're researching. In phenomenology, extensive and thorough personal interviews are the primary data collection approach. These interviews can be semi-structured or unstructured, and the researcher may need to interview each participant multiple times. Because phenomenology is primarily reliant on interviews, the researcher should be comfortable conducting them; audio recording devices should also be utilized to record the interviews.
