Discuss the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative (AsgiSA) in detail.
The Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa (AsgiSA) is a program that was inaugurated in 2006. Its targets were to initiate reforms, development programs, and intervention strategies to enable the South African economy to progress enough to curtail poverty and joblessness between 2004 and 2014. When AsgiSA was introduced, the enforceable constraints on growth and jobs conception that were identified included insufficiencies in government capability, the fluctuations of the monetary system, low levels of investment architecture and critical infrastructure, and shortfalls of appropriately qualified degree holders, technologists, and artisans. These issues were addressed through the development and implementation of strategies and interventions.
