Mention and discuss 2 areas where the theories of phenomenology and ethnomethodology differ.
Firstly, Phenomenology refers to the social life that is truly constructed by interactions and experiences we have on a daily basis while ethnomethodology refers to the study of routines that people have for their accomplished tasks, how people create realities out of their social interactions.
Secondly, ethnomethodology assumes that social order is illusory while phenomenology takes social life more profound assuming that we are conscious thinking beings therefore we should study any phenomena around us in terms of the way we consciously experience them.
