Explain why it is important that learners to understand the notion of democracy in the new South Africa (after apartheid).
During the 1990s in South Africa was the ultimate fall over of apartheid government and the success of democracy over the unfair and imbalanced historical law-giving. Because then schools are some of the organizations, which have instilled democracy principles into their procedures, core curriculum and other facets of school life. The achievement of a democracy rests on the awareness of its population. For this motive, it is essential that the South African curriculum takes in a better emphasis on understanding democracy and supporting public activism.
