1. Family resposnibilities. women are seen to be at home to take care of the family responsibilities as men go out and work. this leads to reduced number of women in the IT field.
2. perceived lack of commitment among women. women are perceived to lack the commitment they need in order to work in the IT field.
3. men are favoured by workplace environment. more women are not favoured by the environment at their workplace because the IT field is perceived to be a manly work.
