The sociologists argued that civilizations and societies change according to cycles of rising, drop and fall just as people are born, mature, grow old, and die. In accordance to the thinkers, every society has a pre-determined life cycle namely birth, growth, maturity, and decline. Society, after passing through all these phases of the life cycle, returns to the initial stage and therefore the cycle begins again.

Notably, a society can propagate and survive if it can fruitfully respond to the challenges it faces. Cyclical theory of change or occasionally called rise and fair theory assumes that social phenomena of whatsoever sort reappear again and again, precisely as they were before in a cyclical manner.

The activity of the mind does not ascend self-governing of the material world. All that is spiritual or mental is the creation of the material process in this world. The world, by its very nature, is material.

Everything which exists comes into being on the foundation of material sequence, rises, and matures in accordance with the laws of a wave of matter. Things come into being, exist, and stop to exist, not each autonomous of all other things however each in its association with others.

Things cannot commend each unconnectedly and by itself nonetheless only in their relative and interconnections. The world does not involve permanent constant things with certain properties however of endless processes of nature in which things go through an alteration of coming into being and passing away.
