All decomposers are consumers, but not all consumers are decomposers. Explain.
Decomposers are consumers because they get their energy by breaking down animal waste and dead organisms. On the other hand, consumers except for decomposers do not do the decomposition process because they obtain their energy from other organisms that are living. In essence, the only decomposers are consumers because they get their energy from non-living materials from dead organisms and animal waste. All consumers except decomposers get their energy from living organisms.
