Inclusive learning provides all students with access to flexible learning choices and effective paths for reaching their goals.
To enable an inclusive education system it is necessary to:
- Use of inclusive design measures to creat accessible classrooms; representation, action and expression, engagement i.e. the waht, how and why of learning.
- Use a variety of instructional formats; some students can grasp easily the visual formats while others only grasp text or spoken. Some students do best with combination of all these formats. Utilize multiple means of expression for inclusive learning
- Know your students' IEP/504s. IEP describes the objectives of the student for the school year, and support they need to help them reach their goals. knowing Students 504 plans enebles the educator to make necessary accomodations as outlined in the section 504 of the act.
- Develop a behavior management plan; will enable the educator to be able to curb any rising cases of ddisruptive behaviors. The plan should be shared with parents and students, to create awareness of the expectations and consequences should they be violated. Do not force behavior management plan on students, however, implement them depending on the needs of your classroom.
