There are three explicit components of social interactionism that are often deemed as the premises within which social interactionism is founded. They include human being actions are triggered by meanings that the things around them have, the meanings that are seen in things is derived from social interactions, and the life lived in a given group. The meanings are handled and modified through interpretive processes by the people engaged in social interaction. With respect to this therefore, social interaction between people often tends to take place within a group life or a social setting. This social setting and group life are governed by a set of rules that make the interaction effective. The key focus of the above fore mentioned components is to define meaning in the things that are the disposal of the people.
