How could you change things around to avoid setting yourself up for an ethics complaint?

For me to avoid setting myself up for an ethics complaint, I have to establish a strong foundation. This is because once you know your needs; you can put in place the resources to address them by establishing a robust ethics and compliance program. Secondly, I can avoid ethical complaints by having Honest assess my needs and my resources since successful businesses start with a good plan and so do successful ethics and compliance programs. Therefore, in order to create a relevant and meaningful plan, I have to know the lay of the land.

Another way I can use to avoid ethics complaint is by building a culture of integrity from the top down. As we all know people have an innate desire to get along and want to fit in and conform to the norms of those around them. This may not be pleasant to admit it, but most people’s ethics standards are fairly malleable. Although most people retain a desire to “do the right thing,” the definition of right is significantly influenced by the company they keep. Culture matters. Lastly, I will avoid ethical complaint is by protecting confidentiality.
