Question #243263

  1. If we pick up two letters, one that weighs one ounce and one that weighs two ounces, we can notice the difference. But if we pick up two packages, one that weighs three pounds one ounce, and one that weighs three pounds two ounces, we can’t tell the difference. Why?

Expert's answer

Humans possess sensory functions and perceptions about objects or the environment; the difference in weight is something we can perceive through the inner sense. We feel changes in weight through sensation mechanisms in the body: sensory organs and our perception of something.
