Have you, or someone you know, ever experienced any of the physiological symptoms of “Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy” (AKA “The Broken Heart Syndrome”) resulting from emotional trauma as described in the video? If so, what was it like?
I had abrupt chest aches or thought I was having a heart attack at instances. Broken heart syndrome affects only a portion of the heart, causing the heart's regular pumping function to be momentarily disrupted. The rest of the heart continues to beat normally, and the contractions may even become stronger.
