Curriculum development refers to the process of modifying or adapting the curriculum according to the different ability levels of the learners in the classroom. It is a strategy that teachers can use with a view to providing meaningful learning experiences for all learners. There are four major ways in which you can differentiate learning: content, process, product, and learning environment.

As a teacher, to provide curriculum differentiation in teaching mathematics, I can use methods such as providing choices in class, I use a variety of resources in teaching it, I teach and re-teach to make sure that students understand, creating heterogeneous groupings which help students to learn from each other easily, and use of self-directed learning.
