Explain the difference between crisis management and issues management. Include references in your answer
Issue management involves focusing on the future to identify potential needs, events, threats and trends that may influence an organization. On the other hand, crisis management requires urgent attention focusing on the situation after a crisis has occurred. Issue management is more progressive and futuristic while crisis management is reactive and instantaneous. Issue management involves certain process which is identify potential issues, set priorities, establish a position on the issues, develop the response, and monitors the issue. In crisis management, there is need to make decisions without knowing all the facts while in issue management, there is time to thoroughly research, gather and analyze information (Hatani, 2019).
