People with paraphilic disorder can control their behaviours when they tempted to engage in deviant behavior.Currently a drug called antiandrogen that lower the testosterone level can be used to lower the sexual drive. Besides, assisted aversive conditioning can also be used in form of a foul odor sprayed in the air by the therapist of the patient . The patient associates the deviant behavior with a foul order and take measures to avoid the odor by avoiding the behavior. A person might also be connected to a plethysmographic biofeedback machine hooked with light. The patient is taught to keep the light within a specific range of color when exposed to sexually stimulating objects.
