Give a critical account of Michael Walzer's critique of John Rawls defence of universalism
Michael Walzer identified a weakness for the theories and concepts that Rawls applied to support universalism. Rawls claimed that human rights and social structures should be definite, and some hierarchies are universal to support the facts of pluralism. Michael Walzer disagrees with the argument to state that social classes lead to hierarchies and indicate inequality. Walzer claimed that every individual has equal rights to freely express their motives and the local level without relating social practices of other people as depicted by universalism.
