Motivation psychology introduces the student to processes that initiate, guide, and maintain goal-oriented behaviors. As such, the student is exposed to factors that influence individual motivation in learning and working such as interest in the subject matter, general desire to achieve, environment, facilities as well as patience and persistence. By understanding different modes of motivation (Extrinsic, intrinsic and addiction) the student can develop motivation paradigms to encourage individuals in the learning environment and at work.
