(a)   Education

Due to Covid-19 crisis, there is world wide lock down and social gathering has been the case of past now. In such situation, the most affected sector is the education sector. The class teaching is always in a group of students. And in new circumstances, class teaching has to be put off completely. To cop up with such situation, online class teaching has gained pace and apps like ZOOM, WEBEX, etc. are gaining potential in order to arrange the online class teaching platforms.

The online meeting platform will have to upgrade themselves so as to facilitate more to students and teachers/educational institutes to go for it. Video conferencing has been the first priority now for all officials meetings. VC meetings has an advantage that reduces the hefty amount of travels of the attendees. It also saves time and attendees can attend the meeting at their convenience.

(b)  Government

Covid-19 has placed all world countries government on alert as the second wave of Covid is emerging in new variant all around. Each country’s Government’s priority is on gearing up for streamlining the industrial sector along with the health sector as theer is tremendous pressure on these two. Health sector is pressurized due to available resource utilization to cater the need of the patients upsurge and industrial sector is pressurized due to long lock downs and working population’s infections. As the lock down is imposed in any part of the world, the industrial growth slows down and lack of money circulation stops. This creates a fear on minds of daily earning labour work force. That is the major concern of each country especially in under developed and developing countries.

(c)   Health Care

Amid COVID-19 world wide crisis, there is tremendous pressure on health services alongwith health staff from nursing to doctors, from cleaning workers to municipality, all involved in sanitizing work and maintaining the routine life in the city. The health industry is under severe demand as the COVID cases are dealt with extreme care and isolation is one of the prime challenge in this case. Further, the nurses and doctors also have to keep them protected during the care. The testing facility is another major concern as more and more peoples are tested, the accuracy of the testing kits need to be ascertained so as to minimize the false acceptance rate and false rejection rate. The testing kits manufacturing company has a big responsibility here. In fact, it's an all around technology and health staff and municipality and administration that need to be integrated while handling such mass problem.

 

In fact COVID-19 problem is not an IT problem. It’s the medical problem and can be solved at ground level by the medical research. However, the IT technology helps in proper flow of information among the the CORONA warriors and spread of actual facts about the problem. Further, the IT apps creates useful links among the corona activists at the fast speed and to the right point. IT enabled gadgets quickly establishes links between the health staff and corona victims as and when required.

(d)  Science and Engineering

Sciecne and dengineering area is contributing at its best to cop up with the Covid-19 issue. IT sector has been the most active area that contributes a lot in fighting with Covid-19. IT system has developed many apps that keep track of the corona victims in order to quarantine them. In India, there is an app called Arogya Setu that keeps track of the corona victims and help them for their proper treatment and isolation from the normal ones.

 

Keeping track of the corona victims is very much important in order to get the other peoples came in contact with the infected person. ROBOT enabled medicine introduction in order to keep the medical staff keep at a safer distance from the seriously infected person.

 

Therefore, IT has a very specialized role in dealing with the current COVID-19 situation not only directly but indirectly as well. A large working population is now under the lock down phase. In this situation, essential services are being provided using the IT help only. Max. work is on line and IT stands on front at this point.

(e)  Banking and Finance

Banking sector is the most impacted area where mobile and internet has played a crucial role. Computational algoritms for interest calculation and acounts upkeeping in digital formats has been a great contribution by IT to banking sector. It's just a click, we may get the over all account informaion and along with many viewing rights and selection and sorting options. Further, the customers may also see and transact with their account using internet banking techniques. Long ques in banks for banking services has been reduced drastically and that at the ease of the customer. With these options, banking sector is now equipped with more services to their customers along with many options and timely delivery. More lending offersinsg are possible now only due to various arithmatic computation algorithms.
