NTFS is more advanced than FAT32, it contains modern file system which are not are available in FAT32. NTFS supports security features management rights,encryption unlike FAT. FAT has a poor recovery and fault. In case of a sudden power failure, Windows 98,2000XP must scan the disk again while rebooting if the disk if formatted with FAT with NTFS there is no need for scanning since it has information about data integrity recorded on the disk. NTFS can access compressed files. NTFS places user quota on the device which is very handy for corporate system.
