1. Management Information System is a system that, as follows from the name, manages the data and information flow: performs analysis, calculations, decisions, visualization.
Executive Information System is a system that supports the functions of the management function.
2. System owners are the ones who own the system. These parties are responsible for its security, proper operation, they bear responsibilities for the consequences that the use of the system causes for system users, they can legally manage the "life" of the system.
System users are individuals/corporations that use the system: they are those served by the system owners. They agree on the conditions that the system owners apply for the use of the system.
