Laguna is a Philippine province in the Calabarzon region of Luzon. It was formed in 1571 south-east of Metro Manila, in the southern province of Rizal, west of Quezon, north of Batangas, and east of Cavite, with Santa Cruz as its capital. The biggest lake in the Philippines is Laguna de Bay. Laguna was called for the body of water that constitutes its northern boundary, Laguna de Bay. Laguna is recognized for its gorgeous lakes and scenic mountains like Mt. Makiling, Mt. Banahaw, and the Sierra Madre, which provide several possibilities for vacation, travel, and tourism.
