The climate change in South Africa has become one of the most important issues in public policy making. This is because the climate change has led to rise in temperatures and rainfall unpredictability. Evidence has shown that great weather happenings are becoming conspicuous due to climate change.
Climate change has also affected the overall rank and wellbeing of the country, for example with regards to water resources. Due to climate change in South Africa water supply has been affected and this has great impact in agricultural sector.
The South African’s climate change has also become an important issue in public policy making because it has various impacts on rural communities such as drought, weakening of water resources and biodiversity, soil erosion, decreased continuation economies and interruption of cultural activities.
On the field economy there are different critical challenges facing Tourism sector in South Africa and which is mainly a result of Climate Change. In this regard, the national government in South Africa started to implement new tourism and climate based policies to overcome the challenges.
