The Dell Theory of Conflict Prevention

The Dell Theory of conflict prevention can also be referred to as Dell Theory. The Dell theory was postulated by Thomas Friedman in his book "The world is flat. The theory spells out that no country can engage in a conflict as long as they are in the same global supply chain. Countries that do business together, that is, countries that benefit each other on business can not engage in conflict. Because the conflict between them will lead to an economic collapse in their line of logistics. In addition, their business may be replaced by a competing country with time may never come back. For example, the Dell company produces computers and orders spare parts from salt lake city company, SLC. These two companies interdepend on each other logistically.

The Dell theory is important in preventing conflict in the world today. The conflict between the two countries can be resolved by the engagement of the countries in business. For example, if Kenya and the USA are having conflict then the conflict can be resolved by business between them.
