Globalisation is a contested notion or concept. On the one hand, economic liberals believe that globalisation has “proved to be a good thing, given the growth it produced in the industrialized states and the number of people it has lifted out of poverty in developing nations”.On the other hand, “most structuralists call for substantial government regulation of global and national economies in order to transfer wealth and income from the upper class to those in the middle and working classes” . In view of the above, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of globalisation and explain the views of both economic liberals and structuralists in your answer
