What are the strengths and weaknesses of pluralism and elitism
The first strength of pluralism is that it address and acknowledges the truth of diversity among groups of people in the political context. Second, pluralism motivates smaller groups of people to create strategies and tactics as well as retain their interests. The main weakness of pluralism is that it overlooks the reality that some groups of people are dominant over others. The strengths of elitism is that Elites were meant to dominate power and that they are genetically better than rest of society and therefore it is right for them to rule others. The weakness of elitism is it has been accused of being too simplistic as it is assumed that all societies are similar despite countries being different worldwide.
