Accoding to Physics concept Electromagnetic waves are transverse waves. the electric and magnetic fields varies in a plane that is perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave. The electric and magnetic fields in an EM wave are also perpendicular to each other.

So electromagnetic wave propogates in perpendicular to electric and magnetic field.
