Solution

In atomic phyaics multiplicity in spin is given by

"(2s+1)"

Where s is spin.

For example

If s=1then multiplicity is 3 sometimes this is called triplet state.

Similiarly is s=0 then multiplicity is 1 which is called singlet state.
