Question #92000

is it possible for the bob's height to be higher at point C rather than point A? Give your reason

Expert's answer

In practically, it is not possible to have different height at different points of motion of Bob's. If so then it is not possible to control sinusoidal and uniform motion. But the motion of Bob's is actually sinusoidal and uniform due to conversion of potential to kinetic energy and vice versa.

Hence all point of motion have same height. And the motion is in arc shape not horizontal. By doing so energy and momentum is also conserved.
